# 60 – Follow your gut and find your way with Dr Sarah Davenport
Dr. Sarah Davenport is a Clinical Psychologist and supervisor with over 10 years’ experience in both public and private health care settings. Sarah is my colleague and former supervisor and one of the most resilient psychologists I know. She has overcome many challenges in her career and generously shares her wealth of wisdom with anyone in her orbit, and I am really exctied to share her journey with you in this episode.

Dr Davenport has held a number of senior positions across private and public mental health services, including as Principal Clinical Psychologist at the headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program (Alfred Health), and Senior Psychologist at Dandenong Hospital's Secure Extended Care Unit. Sarah is currently the Director and principal psychologist at Headstrong Psychology.
Sarah has worked with people experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, ranging from mild to severe and complex in nature. Sarah’s areas of expertise include depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, substance use issues, stress and anger management, adjustment to life events, relationship issues, self-harm behaviors, abuse, and trauma.
Sarah is passionate about her work and committed to high standards of professional and ethical practice. Her approach is one of genuine respect, empathy, and collaboration. Sarah strives to make clients feel understood and accepted. She aims to provide clients with the tools and techniques to improve their well-being and create lives of meaning, purpose, and joy. She is a sought after supervisor and mentor.
