#53 – LA Concierge Psychologist, Dr Crystal Lee
Dr. Crystal Lee is a licensed psychologist and owner of a private practice called LA Concierge Psychologist, based in Los Angeles, California. For nearly 15 years, Dr. Lee has worked with individuals across the lifespan, helping children flourish, adolescents find their way, young adults launch, and adults thrive. Through her unique “house call” therapy model, she currently works with emerging adults (18-29 year olds) to transform their lives. Dr. Lee's life’s passion is to help others grow through life, achieve their goals, and become the best version of themselves. In her practice, she uses this passion to support her clients, who often feel stuck, successfully transition to full-fledged adulthood.
Dr. Lee earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Education at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After working at UCLA’s acclaimed Lynda and Stewart Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital for numerous years, she obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from Baylor University.
After graduating, Dr. Lee directed and developed programs for adolescents and emerging adults struggling with “failure to launch”, many of whom had neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Learning Disorder). While serving as a Residential Director, Dr. Lee gained a deep appreciation for parents’ struggles, as she supported teens and emerging adults’ journeys towards independence while they lived in her care. Though Dr. Lee was a successful administrator, she desired to work directly with individuals to help them grow and thrive and left to open LA Concierge Psychologist.
A respected leader in the mental health community, Dr. Lee is currently a board member of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA). She has presented at several professional conferences as well as has written and been quoted on various topics, such as helping emerging adults successfully transition to adulthood, working with adolescents and young adults on the Autism Spectrum, and finding work-life balance as a busy professional. Most recently, she co-authored a chapter on helping young adults with language-based learning disabilities successfully transition to college.
As a passion project, Dr. Lee developed a psychological services department that provides affordable high-quality assessment and therapy services. Through that project, she supervises post-doctoral psychology fellows. Dr. Lee also mentors several undergraduate students through UCLA’s alumni mentorship program.
